The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss

5.0

It's been a while since I fell into a book like I did into this one. Kvothe, even with the outlandish name, successfully manages to be both ridiculously competent and interesting as a character. I started off thinking that it would just be a fun little story about a male Mary Sue, but the conflicts seem dramatic, and things don't always go as planned. Then there's the layers of frames that make everything just a bit more interesting and a bit deeper. It makes it seem like it's a story about stories. I hope the next one is as good.
