This book is incredibly well-written and readable, with so so many facts that will blow your mind. I learned so much about the United States and the history of our territories. I think the title only truly suits the first half of the book, the second half goes deep into why we no longer have extensive colonies and territories, which is interesting in its own right, but not really directly related to the title. I really enjoyed this one and highly recommend it if you're looking for a readable and fascinating nonfiction book!
