for being so connected to preservation, it feels kind of strange how isolated this story feels from the preservation team murderbot has gotten close with. this is a clean, fun mystery and murderbot seems to be at a place where they understand that they're using humor as kind of an unhealthy coping mechanism but they'll be damned if that stops them from making a dry observation every other minute. i also think it's adorable that pin-lee and murderbot curse in the same way. 

did what i was supposed to do and read this before network effect. i really am enjoying these on audiobook as well, which is a recommendation that has probably been beat to death by this point but i'm happy to agree with.
