The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin
5.0
I heard about this from SSR podcast and from the introduction, which sounded like "Knives Out", I knew it was up my alley. I paused the podcast and got the book. Although I was excited to read the book, I was slow in getting started, but once I did, I was incredibly engrossed. I even got paper and pen to keep track of the clues at the beginning before deciding it's better to just sit back and enjoy the book.
The book didn't read like a middle grade book to me. The characters are all different and the plot moved along really quickly. I am already eager to reread to enjoy more of the nuances the author put in and to enjoy the story more now that I got to the end.
But for now, it's time to finally listen to "The Westing Game" episode of the SSR podcast, and to locate some of Raskin's other work!
