this was my introduction to tolstoy and i loved it!!
my favourite was the kreutzer sonata - incredibly written madness and jealousy leading up to the murder. i really liked the train setting.
the death of ivan ilyich had such good description of grief and despair and guilt.
in general, the way leo writes emotion is outstanding and i definitely want to read more.
