Sky Raiders by Brandon Mull

4.0

When my friend recommended that I read the Five Kingdoms series that Brandon Mull had started, my initial thought was that of some mild disgust, seeing as I hadn't really liked some of Brandon Mull's other work. I reluctantly picked up a copy at a book signing for the third Five Kingdoms book and started reading because I was at the book signing from 8 in the evening to 12:30 at night.
Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. The characters were relatable, the plot was well thought out, the setting brilliantly described. The fantasy creations that Brandon Mull thought up were new and different. I'd say that most people should read this, unless of course, you aren't into books written for a child audience. I'm not sure I know many people who don't like those sorts of books, though I suppose there are *those* people out there.
