Oh gurl - this was my favorite novel from the Breathless trilogy!!! This novel had everything that you need when reading a story with the love at first sight troupe. The story of Jace and Bethany had EVERYTHING - love, sex, drama, drugs, trauma! I finished it in three days and still did not have enough of these two!
This book started with a very steamy threesome between Ash, Jace and Bethany and I was surprised the scene escalated so quickly. But what struck me is the only ready why Bethany was a willing participant wasn't because she was initially attracted to Jace or Ash. It was becuase she was homeless, hungry and needed a place to sleep for the night. #mindblown Maya Banks toook a risk here to showcase the socioeconomic differences between Jace and Bethany and it paid off! At this point, only about 40 pages into the book, you are already rooting for Bethany's happy ending with Jace.
The remainder of the book was well written and had som great plot twist that I did not see coming and I appreciate Banks keeping me on the edge of my seat as the plot thickened and Jace and Bethany's relationship faced the ultimate test. If i don't ever read the other two novels again, this one for sure I will pick up again!
