as a kid, i was a huuuuge fan of percy jackson and heroes of olympus and this book gripped me just like they did when i was a kid. i get to finally spend more time with my favorite characters from my childhood- leo and nico. it feels so different as an adult, i could cry.
in this one, apollo becomes a 16 year old learning the value of a human life and how to be humble (and also he’s bi) with a 12 year old sidekick who has been abused by an ancient emperor. with haikus to begin every chapter, this was so funny. very fun!!
