There was so much hype for this but even then, I was still blown away. I still find it hard to believe how quickly I became immersed in the story, and how the multimedia aspect really gave it a different kind of depth. I appreciated that the format wasn’t just a gimmick; the emails, posters, surveillance footage and chat conversations really added to the story, such that I forgot at times that I wasn’t actually reading a regular novel. Aside from that, it’s the first real sci-fi I’ve read in a long time, and the format helped ease me back into it. Had no idea where the story was going, and loved the reveals as they kept coming.
