This sequel takes everything Throne of Glass set up and cranks it up—more action, more twists, and much higher emotional stakes. Celaena feels sharper and more dangerous here, and the story leans harder into the political intrigue while still giving us plenty of romance and heartbreak. A few reveals had me flipping back pages like “wait, WHAT,” and the ending perfectly sets the stage for the bigger arc.
It’s darker, faster, and more layered than book one—definitely where the series starts to find its stride.
