Those People by Louise Candlish
4.0

Thank you to Simon & Schuster Australia for kindly sending me an ARC of this book for review!

The idyllic neighbourhood of Lowland Way is thrown into chaos and uproar when a resident passes away and leaves her house to a distant relative, Darren Booth. Darren and his partner Jodie do not fit in, to put it mildly and the neighbours start to take matters into their own hands when complaints to the police and the council fall on deaf ears, with devastating consequences. But who exactly is to blame?

I thought this book was a very good read, although I have to say that although the newcomers to the street are "those people" all of the characters in the book are pretty awful and I pretty much found all of them to be the neighbours from hell in various different ways, with the exception being Sissy!

The only criticism I have of the book is that it drags a little in places and is overly drawn out. Overall though, I found it an intriguing storyline and it definitely kept you guessing, as almost every character had a motive for the events that took place.
