Oh Dan Simmons. What do I say about this one. I'll start with saying that it's a pretty quick read. I gave it three stars because of some of the descriptions and word choice. For example, at one point the main character (Dale) is "dragging his cell phone from the car." Why would you "drag a cell phone" unless you are sporting the Zach Morris cell phone variety. Also, I gave it three stars because there are too many loose ends.
Why does Dale get posssessed by Duane? Is he possessed? Is Dale crazy? Did he kill his girlfriend? Why all the Old English on the computer?
Furthermore, Simmons always adds these weird, unexpected situations. Like a zombie body attacking Dale. Or WAS he attacked?
Like I said, too many loose ends.
