WHY AM I ALWAYS LEFT SOBBING AFTER READING A HARRY POTTER BOOK? things go so well and then I'M FUCKING CRYING???
It's like the more I learn the more questions I have. mostly about snape cause I don't understand him at all. he's more bipolar than my own father (who, by the way, actually has bipolar). and then snape is a little shithead to harry who has experienced so much loss and I can't seem to stop myself from crying every time someone dies and I read harry's reaction. WHY CAN HE NOT BE HAPPY?
I was enjoying this book so much because, to me, it was like a nice vacation after having to deal with umbridge. we were all having a good time slowly learning about voldemort while relationships were developing on the sidelines and IT WAS FANTASTIC! but, of course, I understand that it wouldn't be a harry potter book if we didn't suffer a little toward the end.
It might seem like I’m complaining, but I truly loved it. because this book was so perfect. I swear I felt the whole five stages of grief.
each book has its own vibe and this one was my favorite because we steadily grew toward the climax and it was like I was humbled and reminded to not get too comfortable WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I LOVE. I'll be so impressed if she manages to pull this off again so perfectly but so far it's only been poa and now hbp that've knocked me off my feet like this so who knows?

-after 6 books, I've realized that ron can be kinda mean. like, he's funny, but his temper isn't doing it for me anymore. maybe it's because he's older and I expect more of him but whatever. hermione is honestly my new favorite (my girl is always saving the day cause she’s so smart and amazing) and harry (obviously).
-THE SLOW BUILD UP TO HARRY AND GINNY? AMAZING.
-I'm just waiting for ron and hermione to make out already. it's so obvious they're obsessed with each other. ron needs to get his act together.
-I've found that my favorite books of the series have been the ones where it's more relaxed and the characters are more happy. for example, poa and this book. so I think that's why I'm enjoying this book so much. especially because gof and otp were just too depressing to consider them my favorite.
