Lots of thoughts on this book:

-He comes across as angry and constantly feeling never good enough, never satisfied. His quest to be the best is like an addiction and he seems to embrace self flagulation and using these races as numbing to the pain of his childhood. I would hope that he gets therapy as being this angry will kill him and his spirit eventually.

-Despite my annoyances and thinking he’s a bit crazy for doing this to his body the book was brilliant. The writing is strong and the book has gotten a bit under my skin a bit and made me think quite a lot about my own mental blocks in life and how I’ve limited myself. It’s incredibly inspiring and makes you want to do better. I’m usually not a fan of books like this but feel like I want to do better and be better after having read this
