A Fire in the Flesh by Jennifer L. Armentrout

3.0

I really wanted to like it because I love the other two, but the majority of this book is just exposition and Sera having the same mental conversations with herself. It ends with the obvious that we all knew was coming if you've read the other series, so it didn't make sense to me to delay the inevitable. It very much felt like a filler book. Only the beginning and the very end felt like it moved the plot forward in any meaningful way. There are hints in the book though that point to the FBAA series that were cool.
