All the Little Raindrops by Mia Sheridan
4.0

I've loved every book by Mia Sheridan that I've read so far and knew this one would be no different! "All the Little Raindrops" was such a thrilling and suspenseful story with twists and turns around every corner. We start with Noelle and Evan, young students on spring break who suddenly find their lives turned upside down as they wake up scared and caged, but not entirely alone. As soon as they recognize who the other is, they realize the connection they have, not only going to the same school, but a past that was intertwined even before being thrown into the cages together. The two must put aside their twisted past and try to free themselves from their enclosures and even after they have to find a way to move past the trauma they now share.

I listened to this as an audio book and this format really added a layer of intimacy to the narrative, allowing the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in Evan and Noelle’s journey. Their relationship throughout the entire story evolves beautifully, illustrating how genuine love can help them confront and survive their darkest moments. Sheridan skillfully portrays their vulnerabilities, showcasing how their connection becomes a lifeline, guiding them through pain and uncertainty. I thought this was especially interesting to see the different ways that it was developed as well. Evan's in a way through therapy, and Noelle's was self discovery over time, but both came to the same conclusion in the end.

The entirety of the story contained so many twists and turns, and information that just kept being piled on and adding up. Towards the end of the story, I was getting nervous that it wasn't going to be answered since there was still so much to figure out and piece together but it turns out all the pieces were there the entire time. Mia Sheridan did an amazing job at connecting everything and bringing the story to the rousing conclusion it had, and even gave us a happy ending.

As someone who's favorite show is Criminal Minds, this dark and twisted thriller was such an intense read that I would only recommend it to people who are versed in thrillers and suspense books, but I loved it! 4/5 ⭐
