Macbeth: Moment by Moment by Jack Armstrong, Carmen Kahn, William Shakespeare, William Shakespeare

4.0

Macbeth was not ambitious, he was a coward who was led around by fate instead of taking it into his own hands. Lady Macbeth was the one who was actually powerful and ambitious, she knew what needed to be done to get what she and her husband wanted. I think lady Macbeth didn't force him to kill the king, just gave him courage and permission to do what he knew he had to do, but didn't have it in him to go for it. The real tragedy isn't his death, or that it is fated, but that he has to live in the knowledge and fear of what is coming and being unable to do anything to change it.
Lady Macbeth died by suicide, because after gaining the power, after doing the worst thing, the power still wasn't hers, the power didn't feel as good as it should have.
