Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson

adventurous challenging slow-paced

I really enjoyed this book! It was a tense, emotional and engaging story by the fantastic Robert Louis Stevenson that is all about a young man called David Balfour who is kidnapped on a boat and escapes with the help of Jacobite Alan Beck. The writing was fantastic and kept me gripped and wanting to read more. I loved the descriptions of the Scottish highlands which made the story really come alive. I also loved the main character of David, who is thrust into an adventure that he has to quickly learn to navigate. I’d highly recommend this book.
