I absolutely loved Unwind (and it still has one of the creepiest scenes I've ever read, haunting a few years later), and had such high hopes for book #2 in the series. Alas, as I've found in many series, especially trilogies, #2 feels so much like a vessel just to get you from book #1 to book #3. Yes, there was action, but it all seemed designed simply to pave the road to the next book. The lack of any resolution just left me unsatisfied.
