How to Be Idle: A Loafer's Manifesto by Tom Hodgkinson

3.0

I’m 50/50 on this book.
I feel like half of me whole heartedly agrees that our modern world is overly obsessed with productivity as measure of worth, and that true happiness is found in slow, enjoyable times spent alone or with friends.
The other half of me feels like this entire book is just a bloated rationalization of why it’s actually admirable to be a drunk, lazy piece of shit.
I liked it, but would recommended it reservedly and perhaps only certain sections.
