The characters are supposed to be 16/17 but most of the time they act like 14 year olds.
The story was flat and I didn’t feel any connection to the characters at all, I forced myself through the rest of the book though I didn’t really care how it ended.
Additionally, the internalized misogyny of the author definitely seeped into the writing of this book, since there were so many times I had to roll my eyes at how many sexist cliches and stereotypes were voiced by the characters, especially the male ones.
