Talking to Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede

adventurous funny lighthearted

2.5

My low rating has nothing to do with the quality of the book, only my enjoyment of it. That's entirely my own fault - I blindly picked it up without knowing it was a children's book (and the fourth in a series, to boot). I can see this being highly enjoyable to the right audience and with the right background story.

My main takeaway: this is exactly the fever dream fantasy adventure that Sarah in Labryinth must have been reading before her adventure.
