Definitely had a number of issues with the plot holes in this book, nearly all of which are spoilers, and with the use (or lack thereof) of the magic. However despite this, and despite my frustration with Inez in general, I liked this so much more than the first book and felt like Inez and Whit were genuinely fun to root for. I’d recommend despite my reservations, but I definitely wish this had been more of a straight up Historical Romance!
