agloe 's review for:
Clementine
by Sara Pennypacker
2018 - March
Now we are reading this with Natalie.
I can't tell what Natalie thought of this book or if she was even listening. She liked looking at the pictures. Melanie read almost all of this book out loud for us and that might have made it harder for Natalie to understand as well. I think we are all ready to move on to the next one.
2018 - January
Melanie and I finished this book in two sittings. Partly because she was sick and I wanted her to sit still. She enjoyed the book enough that it worked and asked me to start reading it again the next day. I'll pick up more of these the next time I'm at the used book store, especially since we're coming toward the end of the Ramona series.
2017
Have been pre-reading some books to see if they are suitable for reading aloud. I thought this might be the type of book parents complain about teaching their kids to be brats, and while there are some reviews like that, I think it may be a good fit for my kids.
We'll probably read this one after our current Ramona book. It is simple enough Melanie (7) could read it on her own.
