Slower than The Fifth Season, but still well-paced for Book 2 of a trilogy. I loved the introduction of Nassun as a character, and I found the progress of Essun's character really compelling. The world Jemisin has created feels really rich and full, and I can't wait to see what transpires on The Stone Sky.
