This was legit the perfect ending to this series. We had our HEA for Bro and Roe who had been teasing us almost since the first book. We had all of the other Adairs and their families in the best epilogue EVER. We met Walker who is the MC in the next series which I am looking forward to, and we had second chance which I think by now you know I LOVE. I loved the time jumps and the different POVs. It gave us such a good timeline of their relationship and how things changed in each of their eyes.

Brodan has hit rock bottom. He is literally too exhausted to work. His ex BF who slept with his brother is in this small town and he keeps running into her. And every time he interacts with her, he hates himself afterwards because he is being outright MEAN to her. He pours himself into spending time with his family and asking his bodyguard, Walker, for help on all future decisions until he figures out what he wants to do. Of course one of those decisions happens to be working with said ex BF. The same ex BF who he secretly loved all those years ago, but he was just too scared to act on it because he knew his life would be ruined if something ever happened to her. After they finally have a conversation about this massive misunderstanding that took place 18 years ago between them, Bro has a realization. He can't do life without Roe, but is it too late? Has he treated her so poorly that she won't be able to forgive him? There is only one way to find out. He will have to put his heart on the line to get her to hopefully give him hers as well.

Monroe has had a hard life. Her dad was abusive, and when he left somehow her mom took over. Her only solace was her BF Brodan and his family. He always knew what to say and how to make her feel. It wasn't until he started hooking up girls that she fully realized how much she cared for him. I had SUCH a hard time reading her POV when they were younger because UGH did she put her heart out there and get completely crushed because Bro was too scared. Now she is back in her hometown trying to help her ungrateful mom out and keeps bumping into Brodan who acts like she doesn't exist. She finds herself working alongside him and his nephew for a school play and almost quits because of how he is treating her but finds their chemistry is still there. He is truly horrible to her and she makes the decision to cut him out of her life. But then something changes. Her mom tells her a horrible secret that is devastating to Roe and who is there to help her through it? Brodan. The same Brodan who is now telling her how much he loves her, and how he has always loved her. He wants to date her and woe her and show her that he can be the man she needs him to be. But is she willing to let him in after how many times he has hurt her and shut her down?

Ugh yall this BOOK!!! If you haven't read this series, I highly recommend picking it up from book 1. As they say these are standalones but you understand so much more if you read them in order. I am planning on diving into her new series very soon :) Let me know what you think!
