Hidden Valley Road: Inside the Mind of an American Family by Robert Kolker

3.0

I was captured right away by the idea of this book and the fascinating sadness of a family so struck by mental illness. However, the way it was written was difficult for me. I expected a chronologically linear story. Instead, there was some bouncing around in time. Alternatively, I would have expected to follow each child's life chronologically, but that didn't happen either. The stories are also interwoven with scientific research.

Overall, it was an interesting book.
