Kick-Ass 3 by Mark Millar

4.0

Running from July 2013 until October 2014, this is the final volume that concludes the series as a whole. The final story presents with some changes in Dave's and Hit-girl's life. Dave is graduated from High school and Hit-girl is still in prison. Justice Forever refuses to release hit-girl from prison, and Lieutenant Stripes is killed by Chris Genovese's mother, Angela, while trying to avenge his brother, Colonel Stars. Promoted as a captain and helping the mob, Vic Gigante is back and stronger than the previous volume. Rocco Genovese, Chris' uncle, is back from Sicily, and becomes the main don of the city. Rocco's plan is to kill everyone found in a mask, resulting in the deaths of four Justice Forever members. Rocco, in order to emphasize his don status, plans in killing Mindy in front of all the mob leaders from East coast. Meanwhile, Kick-ass finds his latest love, Valerie, a nurse young girl. During this period of time, Dave must take a stand between his private life and his personal hero issues. With Mindy in prison, and an uninterested Dave, the future events will get complicated to the vigilantes side.

I found this story more interesting than the second volume. Hit-girl is more reckless than the previous books. Her period in prison, presents flashbacks of her past with her father, depicting a braver behavior compared to the other volumes. Dave, on the other hand, finally finds his love.
The series overall are interesting and entertaining, despite the ending being a little bit cliché.
The outcome of all the events are a bit predictable, but, its the process during all this journey that make the series a hell of an enjoyable ride.
