My Mother's Daughter: A Memoir of Struggle and Triumph by Perdita Felicien

5.0

Wow! I got an ALC from Libro.fm for this book. It’s a book I don’t think I would have read if I saw it on a shelf, but it’s one that I now will recommend to others. Perdita’s story is uplifting—-she had a very difficult childhood, rose to the top of international athletics, and managed to be quite humble about her achievements. Her mother came to Canada from St.Lucia, and this story is hers as well. Well-researched, and the audiobook is exceptional and engaging in Perdota’s own narration.
