I was hesitant to read this story because of other reviews I read, however it turned up at my local library one day and I thought "eh, why not?". However, I am glad that I read it.
I think we need to be realistic when going in to a book, there's a lot of hype surrounding this book which gets our hopes up for something amazing and then people get disappointed when the story is just good or nice. But it was a good story and I enjoyed the ending. I didn't cry but I did have tears in my eyes, especially during Rachel's chapter!

To address some of the criticisms I've seen that made me worry about reading it:
Tate has no character - because this story is told mostly from Tate's perspective, especially in the beginning, it seems like she is the main character. However, I think Miles is the main character and Tate is the person who just helps move that along. What's wrong with a character not having much backstory because she came from a normal loving family?

There are too many "rude" scenes - this is true, there are quite a lot and one of them went on for ages. The story is still good though.

Mile is an ass - he had a truly heartbreaking past. Give the man some credit, he was broken. It takes time to heal and remember. Hurt people, hurt people. I'm not justifying his behaviour, just saying he deserves forgiveness.

Good points being:
- I really enjoyed learning about Miles' past and seeing him overcome the fear he was living with and the torture he was putting himself through. Overall, this was a lovely story and I'm glad there was a happy ending.
