In my teen years I devoured Lois Duncan's YA thrillers--and was so deeply saddened to find that later in her life she faced a real life tragedy not so far off from her former story lines. I, too, was also incredibly frustrated by the shoddy police investigation that let many important leads grow cold--I look forward to reading her sequel (One to the Wolves) written just a few years before her own death to see what updates happened in her daughter's murder case. I know she died without her daughter's murder being fully solved, though---RIP Lois Duncan.
