Read this book for the Bank Street Book Fest. I'm going to a discussion group called "YA Horror Without the Bloodsuckers." In terms of literary merit, it probably deserves 4 stars. And I liked both the changeling and the kickass chick he falls for. But a) the book was just a little TOO creepy for me to truly love and b) I don't really go for the whole "supernatural things are defined by human beings so when we change our beliefs, they change too" plot device. It's too much like the old "and then I woke up and it was all just a dream" plot device.
