Sleep, Big Bear, Sleep! by Maureen Wright
5.0
This book is so funny, I made my husband read it out loud while we were stuck in traffic, and he laughed so hard he nearly pulled a muscle.
Big Bear has a big problem - like my momma used to say, he's got potatoes growing in his ears, because he isn't hearing what Old Man Winter is saying to him. When the rest of the world gets ready for the deep cold winter, Big Bear's misunderstanding leads him on hilarious tangents. The illustrations add another dimension of humor, the perfect complement to the funny story.
Sleep, Big Bear, Sleep! by Maureen Wright, illustrated by Will Hillenbrand. Published 2009 by Amazon Children's Publishing. Review crossposted to my blog, Life in the 025.5, as part of an article on books for Pyjama Storytimes.
