A Far Wilder Magic was a fascinating book to read. I loved the interesting story that the author wrote about the hunt. I thought it brought something new to the tables in the genre of YA fantasy. Albeit it did take me longer to digest this book than I wanted to because of the slower pace at the start. It took me a little longer than I wanted to be hooked into the book but once I did I couldn't put it down. I enjoyed the dynamic between the two main characters and felt it was nothing forced or over done in terms of the romantic undertones. I liked the overall plot and the buildup from start to finish. I do wish there was a bit more exploring of the world as it felt like we only got a little taste of what it offers. I'm unsure if the author will choose to explore this world more but if she does I believe it will be able to capture readers like me again. I also want to point out how lovely the cover is as it is done by an artist that I love so much and I think it fits the book perfectly.
