fucking hell this was cute. I loved having the perspective of someone with Lupus (not sure if this is an Own Voices story or not, I’ll have to double check that) and Theo and Ellie together were so perfect 🥹 I do hate her mom and her brother though idc
I also really enjoyed the mix of Christmas and Hanukkah and birthday traditions 😭 the snow globes and the penguins UGH I cry
it did turn me off a tinyyyyy itty bitty bit that they mentioned the Briar U series by Elle Kennedy in the book since that series/author is notoriously lesbophobic — but what can ya do
ALSO the author goes back and forth between present and past which is totally fine and I loved that… but the first two spicy scenes were when Ellie was a teenager. I do not want to hear about teens having sex in explicit detail, personally. We all know teens have sex, but I don’t think it should be described in books the same way we would for adult smut.
