The Girl in 6e
by A.R. Torre
I feel like I've been slacking when it comes to my posts! Switching from romances to fantasy to thrillers has been a crazy change in pace and trying to read multiple books instead my usual one at a time has thrown me for a bit of a loop. But I think it's been good for me to change it up and try new things! 🙌🏻
The Girl in 6E was a definite change. Jessica is a recluse. She keeps herself locked away in her apartment, day and night and works from home...as a cam girl. But thats hardly the most shocking thing about her. Jessica keeps herself locked away for a much darker reason.
My feelings on this book are mixed. I can say that it was okay, I just felt like it lagged a bit. It took a while for the actual plot to really reveal itself. 6E is described as an “erotic thriller” and yes it has its somewhat steamy or erotic moments, but I wouldn’t call the book itself “erotic”. There was also a lot of mini plot threads and side characters, I almost wasn’t sure where the story wanted to go at first 🤷🏻♀️
I think this book had some great ideas, and I wanted to like it more. The ending was pretty satisfying, and it definitely had heart. It might be enough for me to pick up the next book. Definitely worth a check out!
