Defy Me is prolly my second fav book in the series, after Ignite Me ofc. This book was mostly filled with lore drops and world building, so typically I would feel pretty bored throughout. But honestly, Mafi did it in a way that i was enjoyable. Still, it's not my cup of tea since I prefer more engaging and action filled books, but this was a nice refresher and REALLY made the whole story make so much more sense. I'm excited for the next book, and ofc Mafi's writing style never dissapoints. The pacing towards the beginning was a litte off for me, I felt it was moving too fast and too much was being revealed at once. But near the end it recovered and became much. The romance is a little too much for me lollll, but it's super cute nonetheless. Hopping over to next book soon :>
Personally liked the name Juliette better than Ella. Sad she isn't keeping it ;-;
