What a fun book! It sucked me in. The detective and his assistant have come alive as real people--I look forward to seeing them grow together as a team and to learning more of their own secrets. In the first Cormoran Strike novel, I had no idea who the villain was until the end. In this book, I figured it out early and kept reading excitedly until the "big reveal" to have my suspicions confirmed. The novel-within-a-novel is laugh-out-loud awful.
