Fear The Reapers by Jessa Halliwell

3.0

I did finish this in about two hours because I’m a sucker for reverse harems. I understand she’s a new author and I don’t think it was that bad. I did think the pacing was quite quick and everything was just told like that. I also didn’t feel that much of a connection with the brothers. I felt like we needed a more proper understanding of them all and it frustrated me when they took one step forward and then one back with what she was doing and how they reacted to it. It was like they didn’t get where she was coming from besides the fact that they unalived her rapist and I respect the way they would protect her but not the way they’re going about it and forcing her.

I’m on the second one now and I currently do not like how they act towards her because I really like her and I understand her view. She has every right to feel how she feels and I think we just need more showing of things and slowing down of the love.

Other than that, Jessa has a lot of potential and if I finish a book in one sitting then it did interest me. There’s always room for improvement and she’s still an amazing writer. All writers grow with each story so I’m still reading onto her next ones.
