This book started out great. The story almost immediately had my attention and I read almost 60 pages before I fell asleep. But as the story went on I didn't find it as great. I liked Tyen's side of things but Rielle 's story was a bit boring to me. I didn't see how her story fit with Tyen's at all. almost 600 pages and you never find out their connection.
The writing was good and the characters were well fleshed out but the book lacked a lot of plot for me as well as being as long as it was and you never saw their connection. I liked the idea's and possibility of where this could be headed but this first book in my opinion could have cut out 200 pages and it would have been a lot better.
I am interested to see where this story goes and i understand that book one may have just been a world building book so I plan to keep an eye out for following books and hope that offer a lot more than book one does.
