The Anthropocene Reviewed: Essays on a Human-Centered Planet by John Green

I’ve always been a fan of John Green’s work in all of its iterations, and this has to be one of my favorite pieces he’s ever done. I loved the podcast, so I knew I would love the book, but even so, I found myself utterly enthralled. I don’t cry often when I read, but this one brought me to tears a couple times. It’s poignant, vulnerable, funny, factual, and emotional. It manages to be beautifully simple and remarkably complex at the same time. I already want to re-read it.
