A photographer who had sworn off love after multiple heartbreaks ends up marrying a man she saw just once, a year ago, all in exchange for Diane’s fortune. Sneaky Diane totally knew what she was doing when she set her up with her tattooed biker nephew Gage, because they were clearly a match made in heaven. This book reminded me of a movie I watched on Netflix called The Life List.
Gage isn’t just hot....he’s a tattoo artist with multiple piercings (yes, that one too 🍆🥵), and he had sworn off love just like her. The second they laid eyes on each other, it was game over. Ms Cupid even left behind a list of things they had to complete together to claim the inheritance, a list designed to bring them closer. And oh boy, did it work.
Their banter? Absolutely hilarious 😂 But it wasn’t all laughs..there is so much raw grief woven in between. One moment I was giggling, and the next I was bawling my eyes out 😭 and then laughing again. Gage completely stole my heart. As someone living with a chronic illness, who has lost a loved one and is also an only child, I related to him on a soul deep level. The way he hates being a BURDEN...that hit hard 😭😭 Hazel was made 💯 for him.
The spice was more on the fluffy side, but honestly, I didn’t care because these two were constantly making me laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time. Hazel’s meddling brothers were chaotic and hilarious, such a handful. Tbh, I don’t even know what else to say because I’m still crying as I write this 😭😭 Just do yourself a favor and read it. But please check the CW/TW 1st! Your mental health matters.
This is my honest opinion for the ARC I received. Thank you Harlow and The Author Agency for the opportunity.
