Loved this story
I’ve been sitting on some absolute treasures in my TBR, and this is one of them. I’ve read another story by this author years ago (Skies of Dripping Gold) and was sad it was a short story because I wanted more. That’s how I am with this story too - I want more of Jayel and her journey. Short story, but it will resonate with me for a very long time. The feeling of not being valued or wanted... balanced with always move forward. Excellent read.
