I flew through this book in less than a day. Nina and Rhode drew me in immediately with their connection, banter, and relatability. I loved how they met and the fake dating trope always gets me. I loved how straightforward Nina was and how little miscommunication was in this book. 🙌🏻 The concerns Rhode had about their age gap were valid and realistic but their chemistry definitely won out in the end.

I loved how Rhode always put Nina first and took care of her, but also gave her the space she asked for when dealing with her anxiety. The mental health in this book was so well done and relatable and it was so nice to see Nina wasn't looking for someone to 'fix' her but rather how she could continue to live with her anxiety, without letting it control her.

The spice was spicing and the perfect amount for me in a romance book. I loved all the tattoo descriptions, Nina's passion for her art, and Rhode's friendships with his teammates. I love found family and I am so excited to read the other books Meredith writes in this series so we can learn more about Patty and Cruz (I hope! 🤞🏻).

It's hard to believe this is a debut novel because Meredith's voice is clear and her writing style was so smooth.
