The Twisted Dead by Darcy Coates

4.0

I’m enjoying the Gravekeeper books so much, and The Twisted Dead is another wonderfully cozy horror addition.

In the third book, Keira and her friends Zoe and Mason are invited to dinner at his creeptastic mansion by local recluse Dane Crispin. Dane has heard about Keira’s ability to see ghosts, and he believes his ancestral home is haunted.

What Keira sees in Dane’s home sets her on a mission to learn more about herself, her powers, and the mysterious company trying to kill her.

Keira and her friends are as hilarious and sweet as in the previous books, and I loved getting more glimpses of how ghosts work in this world. This book is a bit heavier on action than on the creepiness, and it’s a fast-paced, fun read.

The author gives enough information that this book can be read without the first two, but I do recommend reading the whole series.

Thank you to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for my review copy of this book.
