A wonderful prelude to The Mysterious Benedict Society, The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict tells us the story of how it all began. It's a beautiful story of Nicholas and though he seems almost intellectually perfect in the beginning there's still much room for improvement social wise. Like the previously published books, this book is full of mystery and intrigue, though not quite as much danger as the rest of the series. I'd recommend it to anyone who liked the Mysterious Benedict Society series and who wants to learn more about it's founder. A thoroughly enjoyable read.
