Snowed In with Mr. Heartbreaker by Pippa Grant

5.0

A rising pop star and former boy band member, now movie star, get snowed in together over the holidays in Snowed in with Mr. Heartbreaker.

She has always been off-limits for him. First, there's that sizable age gap between them. Then there's the fact that he's her landlord back in California; she does live in his pool house after all. And then there's the ties between them; she's friends with his good friend's wife. He doesn't want to mess with the found family or make her uncomfortable in any way, but he fell for her over text before he realized who she was (or how old she is). He is so unbelievably gone for her but refuses to cross boundaries or make a move.

He's the one she thinks could save Christmas for her, but she would never tell him that.

I loved their sweet moments, banter, and the steam between them. I especially loved how they developed feelings for each other emotionally first and how competent Cash is. The man keeps them alive in the middle of a snowstorm and power outage in a mountain cabin in December, y'all.

Prior knowledge of both the Bro Code series and Copper Valley Fireballs series is helpful, but not necessary, to enjoy this one.

Sebastian York and Emma Wilder do a good job of bringing the story to life with their dual narration. It's a fun listen and at 3 hours and 41 minutes at 1x, is a quick novella length without extra fluff to listen to at Christmas or any time of the year.

I received a copy of the audiobook from the author. All review opinions are my own.
