The set up and idea for this book was so captivating, and there was so many things i found intruiging. Was it clearly very hunger games inspired? yes. Some minor faults in the writing such as the author forgetting small details then writing something that didn’t match with previous statements, an overuse of similies, and the romance could’ve been a bit more slowburn, but it was a good read. I absolutely hated the ending though, and the short story of the brothers point of view felt pointless. I enjoyed the set up and idea of this book to the extend that i’d have prefered a duology to investigate more of this world. Would have gotten a higher rating if the ending wasn’t rushed and aweful.
Minor: Misogyny, Sexual assault, Violence, Vomit, Murder
