I enjoyed the original book in middle school, and reminiscing with the new Graphix versions has been so fun. Though times have changed, the book still holds up. Young people taking on responsibilities and experiencing teen life. In this one, Stacey experiences crushes on guys at the beach. There are good lessons in the book, which aren't in-your-face. It's realistic fiction with a happily-ever-after, light romance, and lots of fun and entertainment.
