5/5 ⭐️: The Oleander Sword is the jaw dropping sequel to the epic Sapphic fantasy the Jasmine Throne. I had very high expectations of this book after reading the Jasmine Throne and Tasha Suri went above and beyond with this sequel. The plot is a masterpiece of fantasy writing, the character development is amazing, and the world building continues to enthrall readers. I also LOVED having more of Priya and Malini, one of my favorite sapphic ships! The plot twists in this book took me by complete surprise and Suri kept me guessing throughout the entire book. I will be in agony until book three releases. I highly recommend this series to all fantasy lovers! TWs: body horror, racism, sexism, homophobia, femicide, self immolation, and a mother is forcibly separated from her child and her child is held hostage.
